EPC Deadline on 7th December 2022

All indications are that the DMRE will not extended the deadline for the mandatory display of Energy Performance Certificates for buildings, which falls on the 7th December 2022. SANEDI who are the implementing body for EPC regulations have also been advertising the above deadline, which leads me to believe there will be no extension to the deadline.

It is important that building owners and operators hurry to get their buildings assessed and obtain an EPC certificates for the their buildings in order to comply with the regulations by the 7th December 2022.

Therefore, it is necessary to have all the information and data in place for the inspectors. Furthermore, each building requires a site inspection. This means booking your site visits as soon as possible is of paramount importance.

The following is the minimum information needed to get your building assessed:

  • Building plans (including basements)

  • Building Occupancy Certificate

  • Energy consumption for 12-consecutive months (electricity, diesel, solar, etc)

Note the energy consumption data can be in the form of metered data or invoices.
